Julie Lowry grew up in Calgary, Alberta dancing at the Dance Factory and performing in local musical theatre! Discovering her love for music through recreational dance and singing, she attended the University of Lethbridge and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Vocal Performance. She has performed in operas such as The Magic Flute, H. M. S Pinafore, The Medium, The Beggar’s Opera, Don Giovanni, and The Mikado.
Looking to unite her love for music and working with people, she embarked on another educational journey at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC earning a Bachelor of Music Therapy. While studying in British Columbia, Julie sang in Elektra Women's Choir under the tutelage of Dianne Loomer and Morna Edmundson and received the opportunity to understudy Canadian Mezzo Soprano, Judith Forst.
Julie moved back to her home roots in Calgary, Alberta and established CLEAR Music Therapy in 2012. If she is not performing, or singing with clients you can find her sharing her love for the Spice Girls with her Husband, John and 3 children Charlotte, Hudson and Emily! She is excited for the opportunity to join Prestige Dance Academy as a musical theatre vocal coach and looks forward to sharing her love for music with each student!
