Miss Laine Bernard

Dance Educator

Miss Laine was born and raised in Calgary Alberta and currently attends Ernest Manning High school as a grade 12 student. This is Miss Laine’s first year at Prestige as a dance educator.

She has been dancing since she was three years old and has been at Prestige Dance Academy since the age of four. She was part of the Intensive Program for 10 years and has been dancing now for 14 years! Miss Laine has studied many disciplines including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Acro, Modern, and Musical Theatre, however, Tap has always been her most prominent style.

Outside of the dance studio, Miss Laine is a hard working student and competitive volleyball athlete. Most recently, she completed her research project on the effect Mutations in SARS-CoV-2 have on patient outcomes in Europe, and she is to be published this November in the Canadian Science Fair Journal for her findings. Miss Laine is also an avid athlete and enjoys competing on the volleyball court when she is not dancing or studying.

In her years as a dancer, Miss Laine has been involved as a member of the STEP Team and has learned to love teaching and assisting. Working with younger dancers has been one of her most enjoyable experiences thus far in her dance career. She looks forward to getting to know each and every one of her students, and share her love of rhythmic tap with those around her!
