Miss Shae transitioned from being a competitive artistic gymnast to a competitive dancer at a young age and has trained in a large variety of dance styles. In the past few years, she has developed her passion for teaching and inspiring young dancers, gaining experience teaching at studios including YYC Dance Project, Alberta Ballet School, and KIN Gymnastics. Now she is eager to contribute all she has learned to the Prestige Dance community.
During her years of intensive training, Miss Shae has completed her RAD Advanced 1 Ballet Exam, attended summer programs including Stacey Tookey’s Camp Protégé, and is grateful for her opportunities to work with award winning choreographers including Andrew Winghart, Danny Lawn, Talia Favia, and Travis Wall.
As a dancer, Miss Shae has received a variety of awards and accolades from competing across North America including being invited as a BeatSquad member at DancerPalooza, being awarded the Bree Eriksen Memorial Dance Award, and touring with Groove Street Dance Productions as an Apprentice Crew Member.
Miss Shae has plans to pursue medicine which was inspired by her experience growing up with Juvenile Glaucoma and is entering her third year of Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. At the University, Miss Shae also acts as a president of the UC Dance Company, a club she recently founded to improve student life and perform at athletic events. In her spare time, Miss Shae is also passionate about traveling, scuba diving, photography, and hiking with her dog.
Miss Shae is looking forward to motivating and challenging her students by sharing what she has learned with them while she continues to grow as a teacher and choreographer as part of the Prestige community.
