Wrapping up a Season
Each dance season is truly a gift to us, and all that’s left of this season is to wrap it up. After diligently practicing and honing their skills for the last ten months, the dancers get to share their growth with you one last time before they switch to summer mode. There is no better way to tie a ribbon on a dance year than through a year-end recital.
We know that this is an exciting and busy time of year, but that it also comes with missing the old classes and parents wondering how to keep their dancers entertained all summer, so we’ll give you a quick rundown of what to expect this month and over the summer holidays from Prestige Dance Academy.
Of course, this month starts with our last week of regular classes, which continue until June 7th. Then, we are excited to celebrate the year with you at our year-end recitals on June 8th & 9th to finish off the season. Recitals are always a beautiful release of creativity and an incredible display of community that truly allows dancers to feel a sense of accomplishment. They also give dancers inspiration for the season to come.
Many of you have already registered for the upcoming season—which shows through how many of our classes already have filled after our priority registration—but those unsure which dance styles to sign up for next year often find their answers through watching other classes’ performances. We do recommend signing up for your preferred classes as soon as possible to secure your place before the classes are full.
If your dedicated dancer wants even more dance, or wishes to compete, reach out to our staff to discuss the Intensive Program Auditions or our Petites and Spotlight programs. Our auditions are held the week following the recitals in order to begin planning competitive numbers before the start of the next season.
After all that, it is officially our summer break—but don’t despair! Prestige hosts many five-day summer camps for those dancers just itching to move over the summer. From a couple hours for our littles to full days for our older dancers, we’ve got something to keep you dancing all summer long.
