Miss Cassidy began dancing at the age of six in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. She trained and competed in many genres of dance. She completed Junior 1-Intermediate 2 ADAPT tap and jazz exams, as well as Grade 1-Advanced 1 RAD ballet exams. She began teaching at the age of 17 and hasn’t paused since. From there she went on to complete the ADAPT Teachers Training Course in tap and jazz. Adding to her repertoire, she completed module one and two with Alixa Flexibility. She has also completed module one in Acrobatic Arts. In the summer of 2015, Miss Cassidy attended the 5 week summer intensive at the ‘Goh Ballet Academy’ in Vancouver BC. There she was able to train under various instructors, and expand her knowledge in ballet, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. In 2017, Cassidy attended the “Dance Teachers University” conference in Las Vegas and received the Level 1 Certification. She has also taught in Hong Kong, helping prepare dancers for their ADAPT exams. Outside of dance you can find Miss Cassidy out walking her dog Roxie, at the craft store, or choreographing in her kitchen. She is very creative with some yarn and a crochet hook, making everything from blankets to stuffed animals. She loves nature but also loves staying in and watching Disney movies. She can’t wait to share her love of dance with the students at Prestige!
