Miss Rachel is from Calgary born and raised. She graduated from St. Mary’s high school and is currently in her first year of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Miss Rachel aspires to become a physiotherapist.
This is Miss Rachel’s second year on the Prestige Team as both a dance educator and administrative staff. Miss Rachel started dancing at Prestige when she was just four years old! She has been dancing for 14 years. Miss Rachel has studied many styles of dance including Classical Ballet, Repertoire, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Ballroom. Ballet, however, has always been her passion.
Miss Rachel attended the Edge School for Athletes where she trained in the Pre Professional Ballet Program under RAD and Cecchetti syllabus. Miss Rachel has completed many RAD examinations and received high distinction on her Intermediate and Advanced Foundation exams. She continues to study the RAD syllabus and hopes to become a certified RAD teacher in the future!
During her time at the Edge, Miss Rachel got the opportunity to compete in the World Ballet Grand Arts Competition two years in a row and was invited to YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix). Miss Rachel finds competing a very humbling experience that teaches you hard work and appreciation for the art of dance.
