Brooke Floyd has always felt drawn to tap dance as a vehicle for personal expression and enjoyment. Soon after joining Tasha Lawson’s Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble, Brooke began seeking out opportunities to study under tap masters to further improve her technical ability and her performing ability but to fuel her love of the art form. This continued study has enabled Brooke to flourish and become enriched in the art form of tap dance. In 2019 Brooke had the opportunity to perform in Tri-Tone’s show “A Kiss In Time” under the direction of Tasha Lawson. During the pandemic Brooke has delved further into choreography by creating both solo work and group work for advanced dancers in the Tri-Tone Ensemble. In 2021 Brooke joined Lawson Percussive Dance Arts and performed in “Play It Forward” under the direction of Tasha Lawson. Brooke is excited to move forward into a leadership role in the dance community and share her experience and creative work with new generations of dancers.
